If you never try

If you never try,
You'll never have to face defeat.
If you never run a rece,
You'll never lose a heat.

If you never stretch your talents,
You won't risk a tear.
If you never take a chance,
The odds you'll never fear.

But if you have a life long wish
And you don't venture out,
You will never overcome
Uncertainty and doubt.

And if you have a goal to reach
And time is passing by,
You will never know fulfillment
If you never try.
